Scientist are now discovering that people have more ability for learning and brain advancement, throughout a person’s life than they ever realised. Genetically we all have differences, some make pick things up more easily than others, however it is now clear that with experience, training, and personal effort, anyone can achieve what they set their minds to.
“It’s not always the people who start out the smartest who end up the smartest”
Given the following demonstration, let’s see how two different types of people could handle a situation. The person forgets to set their alarm and wakes up late, they then get caught in a traffic jam and make it to work only to find their computer isn’t working.
A person with a closed mind would think ‘The whole worlds against me’, be fed up for most of their day waiting for the next bad thing to come along, and prove them right. A closed mind is limited, unwilling to grow and negative.
While the open minded person, would think I must check that my alarm is set before I go to sleep,
Being on time I would of avoided the heavy traffic, and think great I can catch up on my filing while my computer gets fixed. An open mindset is able to learn, grow, is ever evolving and positive. I hope this clearly shows the importance of mindset, with a closed mind anyone has a high chance of failure, especially if they’re working alone while starting up a business.
At this time in all our lives there’s an amazing array of literature out there to help. Try The Secret and Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I have spent the majority of my life being as positive as possible, at times I have lost my way, and sometimes it has taken longer to pull myself back up. No matter what life throws at you, with the right mindset it becomes a whole lot easier, it definitely makes the difference to the quality of one’s life.
‘The incident of a person’s philosophy of life, is the creation of their mindset’.
